A “cyber-physical interface” is that part of an interspheral system that enables the cross-spheral migration of information between the digital infosphere and the physical entisphere.
Since physical objects are always part of the entisphere, all “cyber-physical interfaces” are a special form of “cyber-entispheral interfaces”. The “Digital Era Framework” distinguishes four spheres of information manifestation: The infosphere, which consists of the analog infosphere and the digital infosphere, the cognisphere and the entisphere. Systems which span several of these spheres are called “interspheral systems”. “Interspheral interfaces” such as the “cyber-physical interfaces” are interfaces that enable the transition of information from one sphere to another in such an “interspheral system”.
