A “digital strategist” is a “strategist” in the professional sense, who has outstanding expertise in the formulation and implementation of strategies in the context of the specific conditions of the digital information age, or, as part of his professional duties, bears responsibility for the formulation and implementation of strategies in the digital age.

A “digital strategist” is an expert who has a profound knowledge of how to meet the challenges of digital change and the specific conditions of the digital information age by formulating and implementing suitable strategies, in the sense of developing an ex ante defined concept for future action which comprises of a flexible combination of concerted which makes it possible to take the existing uncertainty adequately into account and is suitable to achieve an overriding goal aimed for from the onset.
