The German word “Digitaltag” can be translated as “digital day” and refers to a day of action on which events, actions and publications by companies, organisations and the media draw attention to the importance of “digitisation” and “digital transformation” for individual citizens and the community.

A day of action to inform the public about “digital opportunities” was held for the first time in Switzerland on 21 November 2017 under the designation “Digitaltag” (“digital day”). The day of action was under the patronage of the Federal President and other Federal Councillors.
