The adjective “extraspheral” expresses that a process, a phenomenon or an object takes place or is located completely outside the particular sphere of reference.

Subterms of the adjective “extraspheral” are “extrainfospheral”, “extradigispheral”, “extraanalogospheral”, “extrakognispheral” and “extraentispheral”.

The adjective “extraspheral” was developed as an artificial word for the nomenclature of the “Digital Era Framework” in order to make it clear when looking at a sphere that an event or process takes place completely outside this sphere. The “Digital Era Framework” is a frame of reference for the classification of phenomena that occur in the context of digital change, digitalization and digital transformation, as well as for describing the structures of a digital world in the digital age.
