A lecture manuscript is a written copy of the text of a lecture, speech or keynote speech which is intended as a basis for the oral presentation of the speech. It serves the lecturer, speaker or keynote speaker as a text template for his or her oral presentation, whereby he or she literally adopts the wording or uses it as a base but speaks freely.
