A “management consultant” is a consultant, especially a business consultant, who offers the consulting service of management consulting.

A “Management consultant” is a natural or legal person who, as part of his or her professional activities, provides advice in a professional manner, on the basis of specialist expertise, to the management of organisations in connection with their management tasks, by providing an explanation of facts based on knowledge and analysis in conjunction with an evaluation of alternative courses of action derived from this, which results in a recommendation.
