“Vorstand” ist a German word that designates in it‘s broad sense any body or committee that is in charge of a company or an institution. In a legal sense the word “Vorstand” refers to the executive board of certain legal persons under German law, in particular the executive board of an “Aktiengesellschaft”, a “Stiftung” and a “Verein”.

The word “Vorstand” also refers to any natural person who is a member of such a body.
