“Strategy consulting” is the explanation of facts based on knowledge and analysis which is directed at decision-makers of companies, organisations, institutions and communities as the addressee whereby the explantion takes palce in connection with an assessment of alternative courses of action which is derived from this and leads to a recommendation for the design of a strategy.

“Strategy consulting” is therefore a particular form of consulting, especially management consulting, which deals with the definition and implementation of strategies. The persons who carry out the strategy consulting are referred to as strategy consultants.
