A process is labled “extrainfospheral” if it takes place completely outside the infosphere. A phenomenon or an object is “extrainfospheral” if it is located exclusively outside the infosphere.

The adjective “extrainfospheral” was developed as an artificial neologism for the nomenclature of the “Digital Era Framework” in order to make it clear when looking at the infosphere that an event or process takes place completely outside this sphere. The “Digital Era Framework” is a frame of reference for classifying the phenomena that occur in the context of digital change, digitalization and digital transformation, and for describing the structures of a digital world in the digital age.
